The Don Burleson bucket list

During much of my working career I commonly worked 60+ hours every week, working a day job, teaching university at night, and researching and writing article on weekends.

Now that I have some disposable income and free time, I wanted to compile my own bucket list of activities that I would like to do before I depart to the great beyond:

• See a space shuttle launch live - Done!
  
• Take a ride in a B-17.
  
  
• Visit the Swoose at the National museum of the US Air Force.
  
  
• Cruise the south pacific (Hawaii to New Zealand via Bora Bora Tahiti, Samoa, etc.).
  
  
• Fly a WWII fighter (P-51 or P-40).
  
  
• Visit Antarctica (via a ship out of Patagonia).
  
  
•  See the Northern Lights in Fairbanks Alaska in the dead of winter.
  
  
• Visit the Shetland Islands (see the wild ponies).
  
  
• Play the old course at St Andrews.
  
  
• See Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands.
